Hello, I'm David Horner, the founder of Buena Vista Van Co. My journey into custom van building began in 2018 when I built my first van as a way to create an affordable home amidst the high cost of living in the Bay Area. What started as a personal solution quickly grew into a passion. I was drawn to the challenge of crafting efficient, beautiful spaces within the unique constraints of a van, and in 2020, I turned that passion into Buena Vista Van Co., a custom van conversion company dedicated to bringing others’ dreams of life on the road to reality.

At Buena Vista Van Co., I collaborate closely with each client to design and build a van that feels like a true extension of their personality and lifestyle. From selecting natural, warm materials to designing rugged-yet-cozy interiors, my goal is to create spaces that feel inviting, functional, and timeless. Each van is crafted with a blend of simplicity and durability, so it’s ready for the road—no matter how far your adventures take you.

Inspired by the elegance of Japanese design and the clean lines of mid-century furniture and architecture, I bring an eye for minimalism and intentionality to every project.
